ZQ8 rims

i got a new set last week . O.K. , put new rubber on them today . small problem , i have rear drums . they did not seat on rear axles . took my die grinder with a sanding drum , a few LIGHT circle passes on the center hole , problem solved . ( yes i did all 4 ) don't know if this is a common problem as i know many people are getting ZQ8 rims , i thought i'd throw this out . i would recommend , doing this from the backside of the rim with with a sanding drum , not a die grinder . no balance problems , took it up to 100+ , solid as a rock . i'm happy .

Re: ZQ8 rims

What are zQ8 rims?

I had to modify other wheels like you mentioned and used a cylinder hone on a drill to open the center hole.

Re: ZQ8 rims

ZQ8 rims come on S-10 trucks with special handling package . do a search and you will see them on a very nice vert. .

Re: ZQ8 rims

I used a good old fashoned hand file, but either way, the 99+ S series trucks has a smaller center bore than the older ones, so ZQ8 and Xtreme wheels both have to be bored out to work on older S10s, A/G bodies, f-bodies, and the like.
