any ideas?

i have a set of edelbrock performer ias "coil over" front struts for a 93-02 fbody.. and i plan on fabracating them to fit my newly swapped trans am any ideas on how i might go about this?. also the engine i put in this trans am is pretty mean i break the tires loose into second and third (th350) and its cool as hell but i do like to keep tires plus chirping tires into gears isnt exactly going to help me win street races.. anyone know a good way to dramatically reduce wheel hop (already ordered a jegster torque arm that is 50% shorter and bolts to the chassis) aside from that what else will help keep the tires on the road

Re: any ideas?

Sell the coil over struts and get a strut designed for our cars. The torque arm will help some with traction; get the adjustable version and set your pinion angle to -2 degrees. Other than that try throwing some LCA relocation brackets on

Re: any ideas?

You do know that the front suspensions are completely different between the 82-92 and the 93-02s? I don't see you being able to make them fit without more headache than it would be worth.
Also, for traction, get a panhard bar, lower control arms, and lower control arm relocation brackets.

Re: any ideas?

not trying to be an azz here, but I've seen stock 150ish hp LO3 cars bark tires on gear changes. You are right that loosing traction during a gear change isn't a good thing.

Sell those coil-overs. Unless you have the ability to cut the front end off the car and completely re-design it, they ain't gonna work. If you do have that ability, I'd think that'd be a bit overkill just to avoid buying the right parts.

As for traction, new shocks and springs are usually a good start. Unless you know for sure they're fairly new, there's no telling what they've been through. Aftermarket control arms and relocation brackets would be the first parts mod. Then the TQ arm, which should deffinitely be an adjustable. - The panhard does nothing for traction, it just locates the rear side-to-side.

Use the search key. Everything you are asking about has been covered so many times that you're not gonna get much response from a post.

My thought is if it's a Camaro or Firebird, it's been thru (*^$.
Unless it was grandma's car.
Don't know about ya'll, but I don't drive my car nice, unless it isn't warmed up yet.
