NANKANG EX500

Any experiences with the NANKANG EX500 245/50 R16V..??
I need to change my front tires, and the Nankangs are the least expensive by far, I can get overhere...

Re: NANKANG EX500

When it comes to tires, you usually get what you pay for. Get the best tire you can possibly afford, not the cheapest. Go read some reviews on Tirerack, that should help.

I agree, I usually have Pirelli on my cars and bikes.
But I'm just curious if anyone has any experiences with this Nankang tire...

Re: NANKANG EX500

That's what I have on my IROC.

They wear out quite quickly, but the grip is very good on the other side.

You can't have both....!

Fast wearing means a soft rubber compound, and that's the reason for good grip!
I'm about to order mine...thanks!

Re: NANKANG EX500

Never heard of EX500, but I had Nankang NS-II tires on my monte. They handled great, but wore out fast. A good alignment is a must.

Also, even at 40psi, they had trouble handling the weight of a 3500lb. car without bulging alot on the bottom. They have a kinda weak sidewall.

Re: NANKANG EX500

Only the EX500 comes in 245-50R16V, the correct size for my Formula WS-6.
