36/24 swaybars to spohn sway bars
36/24 swaybars to spohn sway bars
has any one done this. i have the 36/24 bars and want more i still have way too much roll, and i dont want to spend a buttload on stiff coilovers. spohns front bar says its 1 5/16, witch comes out to 33.25 mm, the rear is bigger but is the front bar any stiffer than a the stock front 36 hollow, or 34 solid i know its chrome moly though so is should still be pretty stiff, any input would be nice

Re: 36/24 swaybars to spohn sway bars
From what I've seen, in most cases the Spohn 25 rear can be too much bar (it is in my car) and the front isn't really much different from the 36, just heavier.
I have Eibach Pro-kit, KONIs, and 36/Spohn 25. I don't have much roll at all unless I'm really hammering it. And my KONIs are all on full soft.
I don't see why you would have too much roll, even though you are running shocks with less dampening. What springs are you using? Do you have polyurathane bushings on the sway bars?

Re: 36/24 swaybars to spohn sway bars
thanks for the reply........ well i do have the poly endlinks but i still need to do poly on the sway bar bushings. i was running tociko lowering springs trimmed about 1/2 a coil, but i swapped the rear springs out with the prokits, i think they maybe alittle stiffer than the tociko's, but they maybe the same.
the car stay pretty level going through the turns but when you throw it around it rolls like a boat. i want to swap to the spohn coil overs but its a little pricey for me right now
im kinda thinking about using the hotchkis 36mm hollow front with the spohn 25 mm solid

IMHO just stick with the factroy WS6 bars, matched for great handling. I have them in my car, and the car will slide before I get "body roll" like most family cars have. I maybe get 1" or so of lean, going around a really sharp corner, but you dont feel it at all.

Maybe the Tokicos on the front are too soft for what you want... I don't know the spring rates on them though.
Re: 36/24 swaybars to spohn sway bars
its possible that the tokicos are softer, but with the eibach's on the rear the car feels neutral, it rolls even and when i throw it around the front and the rear seam to respond equally with each other, before it liked to understear alittle. so what im saying is that the front suspension and the rear seam matched well but just to soft my liking

Maybe check the spring rates on the Tokicos and see where you stand there. Might get some coils ERS or SSS to match what you want. Also could look into struts/shocks that have stiffer dampening.
