Original tire size

I just bought a 92 Camaro RS with 16 inch wheels. It currently has 225/60/r16 on it. My problem is that on the drivers side front the tire rubs when I am backing to the left. I am wondering what size tires came on these originally? This is my first Camaro and I love it, just want to solve this problem.

Re: Original tire size

Open the drivers side door there should be some info on there it will tell you the tire size and a few others things,I got 245/50/16 on both front and rear tires and mine don't rub at all,do you have after market wheels or are they the stock wheels?

Re: Original tire size

If the car has the original wheels it would have come with 235/55-16 tires, that is a little wider but .4 inch smaller, not enough to make a difference I doubt. Those cars also had wheels marked Front and Rear, make sure they are in the right place because the offset is a lot different.
