chatting in front end
low speed only. does not noticeably make the strange chatting like feel at highway speeds. i cant figure it out, its driving me nuts. seems like its more noticeable in low speed cornering. im suspicious of one of the strut mounts, the rubber is cracked. what do bad strut mounts feel like? the rest of the suspension feels fairly tight. no significant amount of play in the idler arms, tie rods, ball joints, pitman arm, or anything else in the front. does anybody have an ideas. i would love to replace the entire front suspension, the car has 165K+ on it, but i am on a limited budget right now. right now i just want to find the cause of this issue and fix it.

Re: chatting in front end
i dont even know if chattering is the proper description. i do know that the vibration goes directly to the brake pedal, most noticeable when breaking. its not the rotors (at least i dont think so). its always present at low speeds but more noticeable when breaking force is applied.
