wheel locks...lost the key!

Ok well my stepbrother lost the title to his car and now he is parting it out. He said I could have the chrome torque thrust wheels...Im like bad ***! But then I realize the wheels all have locks on them and my stepbrother lost the key to it. Any suggestions on how to get them off, i was thinking cutting torch but idk if you guys know something better.

Re: wheel locks...lost the key!

y don't your bro just go to the dmv and apply for a new title lol...

as for the keys for the wheel locks just try a impact socket that might fit and hammer it on.. usually works for me if not a small chisel and a steady hand should do.

A socket just ALMOST fits good works. Hammer it on, the edges will bite into the lock nut, then remove it like usual. You'll hafta use a hammer & a screwdriver/punch, to know the lock nut out of the socket.

Yes. You want to use a large socket that fits the rounded part, not the shallow key groove.
