i was wondering if anyone has had any luck or comments on how well the southside machine bars work . it looks to me like they get rid of the torque arm? any info would be greatly appreciated. also does anyone know of anybody running fast on them? by fast i mean in the 9 sec range or faster?

 

from what ive seen, they are a less then ideal setup, they are not adjustable, which is the largest downfall. there a cars in the 9's, and 8's i think, with a torque arm setup.

 

I have the southside bars. Con's- They are heavy and non-adjustable. Pro's- They are very strong, allow for removal of torque arm. I choose the kit primarily for the nice subframe connectors, the nice welded crossmember, and the fact that without the torque arm allows for a nice dual exhaust route. I have seen people swap the bracket that the lift bars attach to on the front crossmember to allow for adjustment's of pinion angle, this would be a nice alternative to the standart method of mounting.
