Is it possible that the front WS6 springs from an 89 GTA differ in size? One spring is a bit longer than the other one.

I can't imagine that the OE's would be different. Are you measuring in-car or out?

Look closely at the ends of the springs, springs have been known to break. Or one may have been replaced at some point in time.

The springs are out of the car. It looks really strange, because I just pulled them off to replace them with lowering springs. The car had the same height left and right, and now one spring is longer.
