Drag Strut Advice

Need some advice on drag struts. I'm looking to get a little better launch and figure that getting more weight on the rear tires is a good way to start. With that being said, what brand front drag struts do you guys recommend? What else could i do to transfer weight to the rear wheels off the line? Links to products would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Drag Strut Advice

if you want more weight transfer to the rear wheels, lighten the front end.. fiberglass hood, relocate the battery to trunk, tubular kmember and a-arms, coil overs, etc..

Re: Drag Strut Advice

True, but by tightening them up they are usable. Skinnies with volkswagen tires aren,t either. But many of us drive them a lot on the street. U just need to pay more attention to what ur driving with. Skinnies, no front swaybar, racing struts, all can b used on the street, "BUT, YOU MUST DRIVE DIFFERENTLY"! Remember that all that stuff is for goin fast in a straight line. You can,t corner like a stocker. Been there tried that. Just have to b careful.

Re: Drag Strut Advice

i modified my spindles to use a strange adjustable strut (fox mustang)
i was tired of noone offering a strut that was truely click of a **** adjustable for these year models, so i made the best of it.
installed strange 10 way shocks in the rear too (fox mustang)
