KYB vs Bilstein

'83 Z/28. 96K miles. Stock suspension.

I need new struts/shocks. The Bilsteins are about double the price of the KYB GR-2's. I know the Bilsteins are better and would be the choice on a lowered suspension - but on a stock set-up, how much better than the KYB's would they really be.

Bilsteins are much better than the KYBs. For a lowered car the KYBs last longer than the Bilsteins since they don't hold up to well on lowered cars but you can get Bilsteins revalved for a lowered car.

I have the KYB shocks and struts on my car. They are pretty good for the price you pay for them. I give them a thumbs up.
