Subframe connectors!

Ive recently been blowin money on suspension parts and misc stuff like that. Questions are what would be a good brand at a good price for subframe connectors? Which is better for a daily driver, weld in or bolt on? Will these parts make it inaccessable to anything under the car?

Thanks!

Re: Subframe connectors!

The majority of folks on the board will tell you to have them welded in. I don't have SFCs yet, but I'm gonna bolt them on and have them welded. Personally, I like these SFCs available from TDS - a TGO sponsor

I don't think these'll get in the way under the car, but I don't have them yet, so don't quote me on that... But on the plus side, I know anywhere along the SFCs can be used as a jack point, so it'll actually probably make it easier to access under the car!

Re: Subframe connectors!

do a search for sfc or subframe connector or something along that line, there is a ton of information on here. There are a bunch of different manufactures, UMI, competition engineering, spohn, etc.

TDS sells Alstons, TDS is only a reseller, same as Summit/Jeg's etc. , just to be clear.

For the ultimate, get 2 sets, from different manufacturers. One set that goes outawards from the subframes, the other going inwards, & run 2 sets! Yes, it'll take som tweaking to get them to splice together at the subframes on the body.

Re: Subframe connectors!

i currently am running the alstons and the jegster bolt in pieces. they dont interfere with eachother and the jegster sfc's provide a very nice jacking point. the alstons run very close to the exhaust and the fuel lines/brake lines. right now they are only bolted in but i can feel a huge difference already and i plan on welding them in later anyways.

Re: Subframe connectors!

I just recently welded in the SFCs from Spohn. Huge difference! they tuck up
very nicely against the body, and are plenty strong. I drive my car pretty much daily, and have no complaints at all. It actually seems to help when it comes to bumps ect., seems like the car just handles them better with the SFC's.
