Steering Box Removal Question

I'm in the process of removing my steering box, I have everything disconnected with the exception of the box itself. I see the 3 bolts that look like they are bolted in from the backside of the sub-frame, and the bolt on the lower bracket.

My question is, where are the bolt heads for those 3 bolts?

I've done everything from above the car thus far. I tried looking through my fender well and I can't see them.

Any help or pictures would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Re: Steering Box Removal Question

If I remember right, there are three in the wheel well and two below. Then you undo the power steering lines going to/from the unit and disconnect it from your steering linkage. I would post pictures but my camera isn't working. I'm thinking I need a new one... I'll try and get it to work.

Re: Steering Box Removal Question

couldnt have looked too hard.

they are in the driver-side wheel well, ahead of the tire, the may be partially obstructed by the plastic wheel well liner. IIRC one bolt head is hidden a bit by the triangular lower fender support

Yup, the triangle has to come out to get to 1 or 2 of them. If you trace back across the frame rail where you see the threads coming out from the box, you will get an idea of where the bolt heads are located.
