Re: suspension ideas?
i know we did air shocks on the rear of a 67 mustang and it seems to work pretty nicely you can adjust the rear shock pressures soft or firm plus it raises the rear of the car a little and gives it that sick muscle car look.

Re: suspension ideas?
well i got the car with some monroe air shocks in the rear but the genious who put them on cut the lines and melted them so idk if to buy a new pair or just go with kybs or konis(even though konis are expensive)

Re: suspension ideas?
dont use air shocks. They have been know to tear the shock mounts off and severely damage the car.

Re: suspension ideas?
The KONI Reds are a good budget alternative. What's the cheapest you've found the Yellows?

Re: suspension ideas?
Get weight Jacks for your springs. You can get a soft set for drag racing & a stiffer set for street driving, & swap them out quickly, while adjusting the ride height to your preference.

Re: suspension ideas?
Go to Hotpart.com or Shox.com for the Koni's. You can get them for about $700. Hotpart even offers free shipping.

Re: suspension ideas?
Ground Control
Much shorter than stock springs, but with adjustable spring perches, to adjust the ride height by about 2.5"

Re: suspension ideas?
I run moog 5664/cc635's with GR2's in the front, and gas-a-just in the rear. With all poly bushings, it'll corner harder then my bladder can take (ie - on rails). Subframe connectors and all that help a lot too.
Some of these suspension "tricks" aren't really needed, vs just some good tried tested and true methods. These cars handle REALLY well with some basic upgrades. You don't need the $1000 parts, unless you want to take it to the track every weekend for autocross events..

Re: suspension ideas?
These weight jacks don't require welding or fabrication. It's the front and rear kit. Does the top kit on the other page require welding like the lower kit does?
