rear coil spring insulator / isolator
rear coil spring insulator / isolator
The track bar brace bolt near the rear right spring had been installed backwards and was rubbing against the spring. The rubber isolator on top of the shock is shot and now the spring can spring it makes a clunking sound. I need to replace the isolator and would like to use ES but they do not have a "listing". Does anyone have the correct ES part number? The OEM ones are $24.00/each.

Re: rear coil spring insulator / isolator
The dealer is offering 4th gens to install on a 3rd gen? It gets more challenging all the time. We've been picking over the boneyard really good lately. The problem is the cars are in sand and we can't jack up the rear to get at the shocks. Another obstacle to overcome.

The ones sold now at dealers or other GM parts sources, are the taller designed ones. They'll lift the rear an inch or so.

Re: rear coil spring insulator / isolator
I got some new ones from GM when I swapped my stock springs for my Pro-kit and the back of the car went up by 3/4"-1"... can't remember exactly.
