my tie rod end went splat
i was driving the other day and then right when i turned my wheel to park i heard a loud dragging noise...
i guess my tie rod eaither broke or was disconnected...
does anyone know how much it cost to get it replaced (aka labor)
cause i really need a vehicle right now

You GUESS? You haven't LOOKED? Not exactly a hard thing to see.
Did all four (2 inners, 2 outters) over a year ago & just MADE SURE they equaled the old lengths. Never got my car realigned & have NO alignment/steering issues either.

if you didnt wreck the car immediately after hearing the noise, and still got it home, i would really doubt it was the tie rod. Its the only thing that holds the wheel in line with the other. If one broke, that wheel would have no control and would wobble and turn wherever it wanted to.
I would suggest getting down and looking under the car and see exactly what broke before you start assuming things.

it is my tie rod end because when i looked under there, it was just sitting on the ground and i pushed my tire with ease. so, judging by what everyone is saying, i am guessing it wont cost me an arm and a leg.
thanks everyone, i wish i was equipped with the tools and space to do it my self, but it seems i will just have to take her to the shop to get fixed up.

Takes no tools to look though. Except a jack, if you wanna lok even harder.
Best to look FIRST, so you are prepared for the BS a shop gives you, trying to claim that EVERYTHING is broke and HAS to be replaced NOW.

If your looking to take on simple do it your self projects this might be a good one to start with. Im not sure where your car sit now but it can be fixed any where. make sure you jack it safely... measure your iner tie rod to your outer tie rod to aviod alignment issues. And buy your self a manual. It will pay for itself the first couple uses.
Or you might have to get a tow truck $70... shop$80... part...$50. not a horible idea. But you will not learn anything.
Just something to consider. Good luck
