My steering colum...

Hows it hanging?

when pulled, down and to the left... literally...

most noticeably when i am backing up, i grab the steering wheel and then the steering wheel moves down and to the left, about an inch/ inch 1/2 in both directions...

probable causes? quick fixes?

The whole column, or does the column stay there but the steering wheel/internals move?
