Potential 2002 Firebird Trans-Am Buy- Need Advice

Hey Everyone,

I've discovered 2002 Firebird Transam for sale locally. It has 70k on the motor and tranny, 5.7 LSI engine and ram air hood. The guy says that "The car is driveable, it just shakes when you apply the brake hard and waers tires really fast." This is because of a bent frame that is out of spec. So my question is depending upon how much the frame is bent, would it be possible to get the frame straightened and turn the car into a daily driver, if so how much would this cost?

I'd pass. There are too many really nice LS1 F-bodys for sale relatively cheap that I would buy one with serious issues.

Id pass. A frame can be 'fixed' but it will never be back to 100% which means alot when it comes down to the safety of you and others. You can find another one that is in better shape for a little more money.

if its cheap, don't part it. buy it and put some parts on your third gen! this screams LS1 swap!

How much for the car? I'd considering buying it for a LS1 conversion. There are an absolute wealth of parts that'll swap onto a 3rd gen- brakes, engine/trans, interior, wheels, rear end, etc.

Are you sure the issue isn't just warped rotors and a bad allignment and not the frame?
