i got a 26000525 steering box thats 3 turns lock to lock? Whats going on here?

i got a 67 camaro and wanted to swap in the 3rd gen power steering box for the "heavier feeling" steering. I ordered a replacement box over on rockauto.com and recieved a 26000525 casting # box. I just counted the turns on the input shaft of the box from lock to lock and I got 3 turns? That doesnt make sense since I thought the 12.7:1 box could either be 2.5 or 2.25 turns lock to lock(the 16" tire cars got the 2.25 lock to lock so the tires wouldnt rub), and the 14:1 boxes were all 2.75 turns lock to lock. Mine is 3 turns lock to lock so it doesnt even fit in with anything. Here are a couple pictures...I'm confused on what I should do here since it looks like rockauto sent me the wrong box, and I paid $20 to ship the damn thing here!!!

I know this is an old thread.

However, I wanted to clarify some information about the gearbox #26000525 for others that come across this information on the internet as i did.

it's a 2.9 turn lock to lock box, it's also the 12.7:1 quick ratio box found in the 93 to 98 "Jeep Grand Cherokee's".

The #26000525 is a casting number. Nothing more, nothing less. What goes inside of that casting is what counts. That casting was used throughout the years for numerous vehicles, with different guts in each.

Even the raised letter Z is a casting ID. It doesn't have anything to do with what is inside of the box.
