Third Gen Camaro Manual Steering Box/ LT1 Alt Relocation Bracket

Well first off this is a easy swap. all you need to do is find a good 84-89 S-10 manual box it will bolt right up. The only thing that you need to do is use your third gen pitmen arm, everything else is a straight swap. I did this for the weight savings and to clean up the engine bay and WOW it did that. But you need to think about your turns before you do them. these boxes are 7 turnes from lock to lock and the old box is 2-3 lock to lock so you can see the issue...... It isn't as hard to steer as I thought it would be, and that is with the 275/40/17's up front. here is some pics

Re: Third Gen Camaro Manual Steering Box/ LT1 Alt Relocation Bracket

Well as you see in the post I did on the manual steering I needed to get rid of the power steering pump and I didnt have Ac so I said lets do the relocation bracket from PCM4LESS, it seems to to a nice piece but for the money wow. I opted not to get the belt with it so I just went to AutoZone and got one for 10 bucks cheaper then what they wanted. It is a pain to run the spark plug wires, the bracket runs right infront of where the plugs go into the opti. It works just a pain. and man it cleans up the engine bay. here is a few pics.

Sweet work man. Looks nice. How much weight have you shaved from the front of the car?
