Stumped with a Steering problem

Hope someone can help me in my frustrations I have a 1991 RS Convertible that when I'm driving on the road it will be steering just fine and then it will catch a rute or??? and change to the next lane left or right!!!

I have replaced the
Pitman Arm
Idler Arm
all ball joints
Drag link
All tie rod ends
(2) steering boxes
all of this has been done at a GM dealer and it still does it and is driving us CRAZY It is the talk of the service shop and we can't think of what else it can be. We have also tryed a new set of tires and nothing!!

They have checked all of the things that we can think of and are stumped and not sure what to do with this great car.

If someone has any sugestions or have had a problem like this I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Re: Stumped with a Steering problem

If the steering is not loose anywhere through-out, you may also check the control arm bushings, wheel bearings, strut tower bushings and alignment of course. Maybe a loose k-member?

Re: Stumped with a Steering problem

You could also be getting unwanted rear steer from very worn componants in the rear suspension.
