Another which coil spring do i buy

Hi to all my favorite people and thanks for all the help and guidence that I have been lucky enough to receive.

I have a 92 T toped L03 firebird.
I have deleted A/C
36mm 24mm sway bar combo
energy suspension bushings
Wonder bar
Soon to come Sub frame connectors
Koni 3 way rear drag shock
tokico illumina struts
dual exhaust

I am in need of some good springs. I want to keep stock height due to low exhaust. I also would like very little front movement over bumps due to the low exhaust it seems to always scrape over bumps

I don't really mind a rough ride if I can get some performance out of it but, don't want to over do it.

I will be eventually be putting in a 350
I will be getting rear moog #5665

I am going to go with moogs
should I get the #5662
or the #5664

Your responses are valued Thanks

Re: Another which coil spring do i buy

I have the Hotchkis Sport springs. 1" below stock ride height. they are a little more stiff than stock, but I have almost NO body roll in the turns and my rear end doesn't squat near as bad. I paid $399 for the whole set.

Here is the site for 'em. I just found out that they have gotten MUCH cheaper now. thats unreal. lol.

I went to NAPA and got the stock IROC springs for the front of my 88, had to cut 1/2 coil to get a near stock looking ride height. Not especially stiff riding.

Re: Another which coil spring do i buy

if u want max ride height and not lowered u dont go with a hotchkins/eibach etc lowering spring. the easiest way to go is wiht moog replacements. i think the moog 5664 is too high for u. and the moog 5662 should be fine. the moog 5664 is the stiffest spring they have and it was used in the heavy convertables. your lighter car will have a harsher ride. they all have the same free height so going from one to the other wont matter just affects ride harshness.

i just went with moog 5664s and cut 3/4 coil off for a 1.5" drop bc i want a 900lbin spring with sportlines ride height that i had before. i will have a pretty harsh ride. as well as trimmed moog 5665s.

go with the moog 5662. the 704lbin rate wont let ur car scrape. the moog 5664s are too much with the 748lbin rate and will go against u not wanting a harsh ride. the 5662s will restore stock height with like 4" of fender gap lol. u will have ur clearance.

Re: Another which coil spring do i buy

The reason I want it high is I have dual exhaust from headers back and the shop at which I had it done made it to where my drivers side pipe coming off headers bends down and goes right by my oil pan and then over to passenger side and then back.
The pipe sits like 1 - 1 1/2 inches past the bottom of the oil pan. It loves to scrape over hills and dips in the road when going 60+
I would love to lower it but I hate getting the pipe replaced because the bottom of the exhaust flattens to the point where the diameter is maybe 2in instead of 2 1/2
I will get the 5662's and 5665's and see how high it looks and go from there but my main concern is to stop all the bounce in the front.

THANKS for the replies
