will this size tire work for me?

91 formula with stock 16x8 ws6 wheels and stock ride height. will a set of cooper 295/50/16 fit on the rim and not rub anywhere? Should i waste my money on the cooper all season tires or spend a little more and get the bfg 255/50/16 drag radials?

Re: will this size tire work for me?

I had the BFG 295/50R16s on the back of my 92 RS, zero rubbing or problems.

255 will be widest you can get (street tire) for a stock 16 x 8, up front.
