Re: cutting lowering springs??

There is absolutely nothing wrong with cutting coil springs, as long as it is done with some common sence.

Do not cut them with a torch, which seems obvious but you would be suprised. And do not try to cut them to lower it an extreme amount, as it well mess up suspension geometry.

I would not reccomend selling them to buy different springs, one problem with lowering springs is because a cars weight can vary so much, they can not sell a two inch lowering spring, they will be from 1 to 2, or 2 to 3 ,etc.

Some springs, like the Moroso drag sprin, reccomend trimming to desired ride height, so I would not let uneducated people to you "it is dangerous, I do not know why, it just is, blah blah"

You could do this just as easily. I'd lean towards keeping the prokit if you're just looking for a hair more drop. Trimming the prokit springs 1/4 coil at a time will also increase spring rate (stiffer)
