IROC front springs free length?
I am in the process of replacing the front springs on my 89 iroc with moog 5662 springs. My question is does anyone know the free length of the moog springs? When I removed my old springs and compared them to the new moog springs there is quite a difference in free length, 2 1/2"
old springs ( BXO 14029392 is the number on the tag) = 15 3/4 approx.
moog 5662 = 13 1/4 approx.
Does this sound right or did summit send me the wrong springs?

Re: IROC front springs free length?
I would also like this info for both front and rear springs, free length and length needed to drop the rear 1.75"-2" as I plan to drop my car on drop spindles but still use springs. I will be using stock moog spring specs but with higher rates in the front and if someone can fill me in on what size I need to lower my rear about 1.75"-2" that would be helpful.

Re: IROC front springs free length?
Thank's jamesC, I guess I have the right springs according to the charts. I just expected the old springs to be about the same length or shorter than the new ones due to sag so I thought I might have the wrong springs, I guess it's all in the load rating difference.

You might be interested to know that my IROC sat a bit lower with the Moogs than it did before the swap.

Re: IROC front springs free length?
So in reading that.
My plans
2" Drop Spindles in the front with 1000# springs
1.75-2" Drop Springs in the rear (Minor rake, very minor) with 250# springs
When using Drop spindles it is said to use stock moog springs like the ones stated by the OP. So in the rear as long as its load height is 1.75-2" shorter than the front I will achieve my look, correct?
Front Load Height = 10.75"
Front Free Height = 13.25"
Rear Load Height = 8.75"-9"
Rear Free Height = Doesn't matter correct?
I am ordering springs through eibach.
