hunting down sound

I have had this click/popping sound that comes from the front passenger side of my car when I jack it up when the suspension is settled. I have also heard it before when I hit bumps on the road. I have recently replaced all wearable parts in the front suspension and yet I jack the car up and the click/pop sound is there. It's just one decently loud click/pop sound and that its. Im confused I have replaced LCA bushing, balljoints, tie rods, etc... It almost sounds like its coming from the k-member??? not sure what to think. ANY advice is appreciated. Thanks guys.

Re: hunting down sound

Check the bolts to the shock at the spindle. They sometimes get loose. Should be torqued at 200lbs.

Re: hunting down sound

Ill double check but I dont think that is it. I have rebuilt the front suspension essentially and everything was torqued to spec. I havent even ran it on the street for somethign to loosen up so thats why im confused about the situation. I dont know what I am overlooking.

Re: hunting down sound

Put a jack stand under the cradle then take the tire off. Jack the A-arm and watch where the shock and spindle mount. You'll see it jump. The popping is when under a load, the spindle will "pop" in one or more grove and when the load is relaxed, it pops out.

Re: hunting down sound

Ill give this a try but the only thing is I get a pop when I jack the car up but not a second pop when it comes back down. Ill still check it out and see. Thanks again and if anyone else has still had this problem let me know.
