Stock 16" wheels - Spacer Question

When running 16" stock wheels on my '89 RS,
I used a spacer - maybe 3/16" or so on the rears.
I now have an '88 IROC-Z and notice it has no spacers.
Should it have 'em?
Thanks!

Don't worry about that .187 thick spacer. It was used on some early drum brake cars. Later GM installed them hit & miss until the inventory ran out. Sell them on e-bay if you want, that is what I did with mine.

They were originally designed for the aluminum drum braked cars.

You don't NEED them. I had a set & slipped them under my Snypers, because I needed a little extra clearance for 315 rear tires. If the inner panel cutting & welding works out good, I'll be pulling them off. I hate spacers or adapters.
