Where can I find the 4th wheel? AR

**EDIT: They are called LeMans by AR**

I have a set of American Racing wheels. I'm not sure if they are billet, but they are 2 piece. 17x11 rears and 17x9.5 front. I need another front wheel. The guy I bought them from said they were discontinued years ago and he never found a replacement nor did he have the messed up wheel any longer.

On the inside of the wheel this was all there was:

"ARE 10598 17x9.5 5jdotare 2pce 0393 043 s1 2"

I really like them and would love to put them on my GTA, but I can't do that without a 4 wheel.

I am assuming this is either you or the person you bought it from.

It looks like a very simple 2 peice design, too bad they don't have the bad rim you could get the outer rim easily and have the center put in. It would put you into the price of a new set of rims but you could have a custom wheel shop cut you one.

I would contact AR and see if they can tell you dealers that carried those and contact them to see if they have any NOS items. Other than that check ebay often.

if there is any more writing on them of any kind please post it.. so the ar10598 is on the back eh??? I can try to get a hold of my guy to search and usually, american racing uses 3 numbers for their type .. like AR590 as example.

Re: Where can I find the 4th wheel? AR

Cool, its definately worth a try. These wheels for sure have 5 numbers after ARE unless you print stamp them in a wierd order.

Here's all that was on the 17x9.5:

ARE 10598 T17x9.5 JDOTARE 2PCE 0398 048 S1 2

And here's on the 17x11 if it matters at all:

ARE 01498 21 T17x11 OJODT ARE 2PCE 0997 021 S1 2

Wow that is so weird, I just bought a set of 4 very similar old AR wheels, 2 piece welded billet wheels

Name: Image4-4.jpg
Views: 157
Size: 152.9 KB

2 are 17x9 and two are 17x11

The two 17x9 were welded on by some idiot and they are going to be repairable, but very expensive to fix. The two 17x11 are great. I wish I could find replacements for the two 17x9s for my set so I don't have to spend $500 to fix them

My wheels have similar #s on the inside. They do not seem to correspond to any part # I can identify

Good luck

PS the wheels you have are NOT Lemans wheels.

This is an American Racing LeMans wheel (well known vintage wheel)

Steve
