spring compression

I just replaced my engine mount and I had to take out the bolt connecting the A-arm to the K-member. Now I am trying to get it back in but when i jack it up the car lifts off the jack stands. I dont want to work under the car while only held up by a jack on the A-arm. Is there a tool or something that would compress the spring? If so, where could i rent it? Would a clamp work??

Any input would be awesome.
