UMI Performance Releases 1.250" Rear Drag Bar
Hello Members,
UMI Performance now offers 1.250" solid chrome moly drag bar for the 82-02 F-Body. The kit is supplied with everything needed to install it. This kit is a bolt in kit with welding recommended/needed. This means the kit can be installed in your driveway or garage and driven to the nearest shop for the little bit of welding that needs completed. We were able to use factory holes for mounting and used heavy duty u-bolts to attach the bar to the axle tubes. The mounting brackets feature grip teeth CNC machined into them to prevent the bar from rotating on the axle tubes. Please take a look at the pictures below and the link for more information.
As an introductory offer we are selling this item at 20% off making the price $311.99!
They are available powder coated red or black and in stock ready to ship.

Re: UMI Performance Releases 1.250" Rear Drag Bar
What about making the lever arms of the solid bar (the flat ends with the holes the heims bolt to) longer with two or three holes on each side rather than one?
Why you might ask?
It would give a guy that street drives his car the option to run the lighter weight (more flexable due to leverage) sway bar mounts for daily street driving, then simply remove the bar links towards the shorter ones (stiffer setting) for drag use.
Same could be done with a smaller diameter bar for road race use for all the guys trying to taylor in there daily street packages. They could "play with one universal adjustable bar from lets say a 18mm, 21mm, and 24mm equivilant settings all in one bar with three mount positions.
Also for everyones info, by speading the alxe mounts as wide as possible gives you a stiffer bar- you have adjustments slightly here too when mounting any sway bar onto a rear axle with our types of clamps.
side note: At first glance of the car in the photo- why on gods earth is that panhard flat with the axle unloaded that much? Once its loaded i'll bet the panhard is at an extreme 15*

But depending on the ride height, the driverside may have to be lowered a bit. I think it may not be quite level at ride height and may be higher on the driverside than the passengerside. but who knows, its just a pic
