Cage vs SFCs
Cage vs SFCs
Just a fast question
Im concerned about excessive weight in my thirdgen. If I install a stout 10pt cage, would I still benefit substantially from SFCs? I dont really see it as being necessary. What do you guys think? Im ultimately shooting for 10.5 in the 1/4. So I will end up needing a cage.

Re: Cage vs SFCs
You still need both. A cage doesn't tie the front and rear subframes together. It won't stop the body flexing like SFC do.
A full cage isn't required until you hit 9.99. A 6 point roll bar is good to 10.0 as long as the floor and firewall have not been modified. Rear floor modifications for bigger tires doesn't count.
