Anybody know where I can get a new or rebuilt steering column for my 91 RS? All I can find online are used columns.

Re: Looking for new/rebuilt steering column
Thanks Sean, but my actual column is bad, not just loose. I was down at Hurlburt field and one morning the car wouldn't start. I thought the ignition cylinder had gone bad, but I took it to a shop recommended by somebody we used to work with. The found the cylinder was fine but various parts in the column had come apart. They put it back together enough for the ignition to function, but said the column needed replaced ASAP. I would have gotten more specifics, but I was out of town and needed to get going. Also tend to trust them because they new I was out of town so its not like they would be getting the business. Somebody else previously mentioned my whole column was bad as well.
I definitely want to find a new or rebuilt column.

Re: Looking for new/rebuilt steering column
I've come across some decent ones at a junkyard like a pick-n-pull. Easy to pull. Two bolts under the dash, three at the firewall and one on the shaft IIRC. Sometimes the key is under a seat or hidden somewhere nearby. make sure it has the same options and VATS requirements unless you can bypass that.
