Drag Shock setting suggestions...

I am getting ready to put in a set of Competition Engineering drag shocks. They are three way adjustable. 50/50 40/60 30/70 I realize that they should be adjusted according to track conditions and how the car reacts to them. BUT...what do you think would be the best setting to put them on for my first run at the track. I honestly doubt I will be taking thm off and adjusting them in between runs, so i want a good starting point. Thanks...if it matters I am also putting on 70/30 Lakewood front struts too at the same time. I am running LCARB's and drag radials too.

Start with 50/50 and see what the car does and how it reacts. I know you want to save money by using the Lakewood front struts. Why the 70/30 instead of 90/10? Is this for street/strip or strip only?

For a full drag strut, the Koni SPA1 is far better than a Lakewood strut but is also a lot more expensive. They're adjustable and don't need to be removed to be adjusted.

Re: Drag Shock setting suggestions...

I picked this set up because it sees alot of street driving too. I only see the track about once a month. During the summer I drive this car maybe two or three times a week. I think the 90/10 struts are a little to much for the street.
