Couple of SFC questions
First off I have a set of UMI sfc's I am going to install on my 88 vert.
I know the car has to have the suspension loaded when installing the connectors. But, here is what I'm curious about.
I have the car disasembled right now, almost completely.I still need to put the rear end back under it to install the connectors though.
First question:
While being completely apart do I have enough weight to properly mount the sfc's? Reason I ask is that I am currently undercoating the bottom side. I did a test fit to mask off the weld area from the undercoating. The passenger side front will need shimmed to meet the frame as it sits right now.
Second question:
Did you weld the rear section where it bolts to the lower control arm bracket? I assumed I would but then I thought I had better ask others opinions first.

Re: Couple of SFC questions
Hello
I would highly suggest just reinstalling the rear end! And then installing the SFC's so there would not be any chassis binding issues. And then I would make sure the hardware goes through the mounts (were the lower control arm mounts and then weld around the front and top and sides. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

Re: Couple of SFC questions
Thanks for the reply Brad. Just wasn't sure if the engine and tranny being out would affect anything.

Hello
I would just wait until all the weight is back in the vehicle to eliminate any type of chassis binding issues. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad
