rear end plus

Hey, been a bit since ive been on. need to know if this rear end is worth it .. having trouble deciding on a rear end cause i wanna stuff as much tire under my camaro as possible without going with a huge wheel tub. however, she'll be in a body shop as soon as im back in the states. just tryin to get my research done so i can move on to the buying part of it. just bought the rear lower control arm relocation brackets yesterday from spohn as well as there control arms with the delphi sphere.

any input will be appriciated. i also need to know what is an acceptable amount of drop with drop spindles while still maintaining street functionality. right now im lookin at a 2 inch drop. will be going without the front air damn and rerouting air from elsewhere to the radiator.

thanks guys!!

Re: rear end plus

Might wanna narrow the gobs & gobs of info there, down what is needed to address the fit issue.

Just a suggestion because there is a LOT of info in there to read through & decipher.

Re: rear end plus

All I see is an order for a complete bolt in 9". The price is about right when you order it complete and ready to bolt into the car.

Wheel fitment however depends mostly on tire size and rim dimensions. A different width diff just needs rims with the proper backspace to keep the tires tucked under the fenders. Since you've decided on 3.70 gears, the best performance from tire height is now determined by the max engine rpm. For street driving, you can have just about any tire height you want. With 3.70 gears, I'd say a 26" tall tire would work well. 28" may be pushing it since you would want something closer to 4.10 with the taller tire.

A 26" tall tire has very few clearance issues so now it becomes a width concern. There are many users who can recommend the widest 26" tire that you can fit under the fenders and the size of rim required.

What are your plans for rim diameter? 15, 16, 17+? That will also limit your tire choices.

Re: rear end plus

in the rear i iwll probly be goin with 18's or 19's and in the front 17's or 18's, respectfully. i want as much rim as tire as i can stuff under the car but dont want the ultra low-profile tire look. in other words i wanna be able to smoke the tires on occasion ...

will be dropping her a max of 2" as well.

not sure if im going to go with coil overs or not.

thanks stephen AlkyIROC you both seem to help out a lot! i see your responses everywhere!!
