lowering springs

I just lowered my 86 z28 using Dropzone 1-7/8 drop springs. And now I only got like 3" ground clearance on the front bumper and the rear is higher. Could it be that my engine is heavier (all iron 350 4bolt) or could the springs be designed for a v6 car? Bought off Ebay for $100. Thanks!

Re: lowering springs

Give them some time - the rears will compress some. If you had sagging original rear springs, the drop springs might actually hold the car higher than the sagging old springs. But if you got the isolators put in correctly, they will drop some more in time. The first 5-10 days after I installed my Eibachs, the car was higher than before, but it settled with driving and usage.

Re: lowering springs

the springs will settle a 1/2" or so in the next 100 miles, if the rear still sits too high pull the isolaters and do the heater hose mode that will give you another 1/2-3/4" drop
