GC Weight Jacks and aftermarket K-member and A-Arms
Is anybody using the Ground Control weight jacks and aftermarket k-member and/or a-arms? If so, how do they fit.
I'm getting the GC weight jacks. I just need to know if they won't work with the aftermarket k-member and a-arms. I'm looking at the Spohn pieces in particular.
Thanks.

I can't tell you for sure since I have neither setup but I would think that if you're buying the pieces made for stock springs, you should be ok.

you should be fine as long as the k-member has spring pockets, a-arms wont make a difference as long as they have the pocket too

Yeah, I'm just concerned the spring pocket on the k-member and a-arm may be slightly different than stock. Such that it would work with stock springs but not the weight jacks.
Thanks

i have not heard of any issues, but i see where you are coming from. I wouldnt think there would be an issue because the perch has a locator tube in the center of the aftermarket k and the factory ones have a hump. they both should be the same diameter to keep the springs from moving around. Only thing that i can see that may be different is the height of the locator tube. The aftermarket k may have a longer one. Its nothing some trimming wont fix.

There will be an issue, but it's not major. The aftermarket crossmember (Sphone at least) has an inner cup that normally locates the spring via the inside diameter. The GC weight jack adjusters are sized to the outside diameter of the stock spring. This centers them inside the stock spring pockets.
If you place the adjusters on an aftermarket crossmember, they will be able to slide around about a half inch. Do to the adjuster not being the same thickness as a spring.
I wound up welding 4 quarter inch rods vertically along the inside of the adjusters. This made them the same thickness as a spring and allowed them to center up on the crossmember.
