Right way of changing rear disk pads on an '86 TA??

I have checked 2 repair manuals and both of them say to move the piston back into the caliper, but give no explantation of how. I know the fronts use a big c-clamp but since the rears have the parking brake 'screw' sticking out the back of it, does it have to be turned back in, if do how. I've seen a few different tools to turn brake calipers, but do I need the cube or the round disk.

Take the parking brake levers off the back of the caliper, then push the piston in. Re-install the parking brake levers, then lock-n-load your pads.

see: http://www.isthq.com/~dan/1LEbrake.html

There's a section on the 1982-1988 rear disk brakes in there.

Slow,

I'll secondn (or third?) what WS6 advised. I'll only add that you should clean the levers and screws, then lubricate the screw lightly with brake fluid. Pay close attention to how the spacers and washers stack under the park brake lever.

Later,
Vader
