dropped with springs yet sits high up front

I just installed hotckis lowering springs all around with kyb gr-2 shocks and struts, and the rear did indeed drop about an inch. The front though seems like it didnt drop at all. Does it take time for the springs to "break in"? Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Have you driven the car any? At least rolled it 50 feet? The fronts suspension has to roll to re-settle in place.

Move the car & get back to us on the results.

Re: dropped with springs yet sits high up front

Springs have been installed for about two weeks now and car has been rolled in and out of shop while i have been rebuilding tranny. Finally installed tranny today and drove car for a good couple of miles and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. The rear seems to be nicely dropped but its just up front that seems a bit high. Not sure if i missed something during install

Re: dropped with springs yet sits high up front

Check to see if your front springs are indexed correctly. The a-arm has a "notched"/not flat place where the springs set. If they are not indexed (turned) correctly in the a-arm, the car will sit high, because the springs are not sitting correctly (low enough).

I was wondering about that too. I will try that tomorrow morning and get back to you all with feedback, and hopefully some pics

Re: dropped with springs yet sits high up front

There are two drain holes in the a-arm. The end of the spring should sit between the two so that one is covered. The holes can be seen in the following link, post #5:
