Tire size?

How wide of tires can you cram on a thirdgen? Will 255s fit up front w/ 275s out back? Can you go any bigger? 275s will fit on GTA gold crosslace rims, right?

I've heard of someone using 315 on the back and he said they rubbed a little sometimes. Up front I wouldn't think that big. I don't think there will be any problem with 275 and I know there won't be with 255.

Would 315s even fit on GTA 16 inch rims? I've seen 315s on Vettes and 4th gens, that would be cool on a thirdgen. Maybe I'd just have to do a little "custom" (bag on the fender wall with a hammer for awhile) so they don't rub
Thanks,
Douglas

You can fit up to a 295/50/16 on a stock 16x8 rim.
It won't handle very good though.
It'll be a taller than stock of course.

You'd need a 17x11' rim with 6" offset to fit in the rear on a third gen.
Yes, it does look sweet.
