Are they better for road racing or drag?

drag...the spring rates are too soft for cornering

Coil overs are BAD for road racing. They do not make the car handle any better at all and they sacrifice wheel clearance which is at a premium in the front fenders of a ThirdGen. DON'T DO IT!
