Line lock-need help finding the fittings!
I have the TCI line lock. Can't figure it out what kind of adapter fittings (thread type/size) do I need. The manual only says to get adapter going from 5/16" to 1/4", it does not mention the threads. If any of you guys have it installed (or any other one), please help! Also, after reading the post from Steve '91 Formula on November 11, 1998, I need to know if any of you have it between master cyl/prop. valve.

It's some kind of bastard metric fitting.. I couldn't find info at all anywhere as to thread size. I wound up dragging my old prop valve into Pep Boys, and fitting it to some of their pre-flared lines.
The pre-flared line I bought had the metric ISO "bubble" flare at the end, and it was sold under the "Import Brake Line" section. All the "Domestic" lines had the double-flares, which look like "V"'s.
The Pep Boys line fittings were painted blue, if that means anything. I could almost tell by looking at them that "yes" they were the ones I needed. Hopefully you're near a Pep Boys, I haven't seen those lines elsewhere. I think the name on the rack was Raybestos.
On my '86 (and the '84 units I swapped in), the fittings between the master cylinder and prop valve for the -front- brakes appeared to be of an AN threading.. not metric at all, so those lines wouldn't work.
I didn't help at all, did I?

Yes, you did help; the TCI did not bother to reply to my e-mail at all. So, I gather that your line lock is between master cylinder and proportioning valve. According to post from Steve '91 Formula on November 11, 1998, it did not work on his car, so could you confirm that it works on yours?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

i have a hurst line lock and their install kit. the problem i ran into was the stock fittings having a unthreaded portion ( i guess to act as a lead in to the female threads) that increased the length of the fittings making it impossiable to use. i had to run new lines to my front brakes, but it ended up looking cleaner and neater, got the lines out of the way and away from heat off the headers.
