New Suspention idea...
I recently changed rears..and lost with it my LCA lowering brackets I welded the f%ck out of. I got to thinking about making a new set for the new rear, and a thought occured.
Why not follow the same principle with a new torque arm? What would happen if I made a new arm, and a crossmember/driveshaft loop to mount it on, but I made the rear mounting point a couple inches lower?

Engine: 588 Alcohol BBC
Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
The torque arm works like a 4' long ladder bar. You don't mount ladder bars with the rear lower. You still need to use it to adjust the pinion angle. The lower control arms are more like the bottom rods of a 4 link suspension. Because of the wierd way a third gen suspension is designed, lowering the rear of the LCA will move the instant center of the car more than the torque arm will. It's all on how the diff wants to rotate and transfer force on the body. The LCA's push forward and the torque arm pushes up.
