Squawking noise from sway bar bushings.

Squawking noise from sway bar bushings.

Now that the weather has turned colder here in MN i have noise coming from the sway bar bushings. Anyone have a fix ??

Unbolt the sway bar mounts (you can leave the endlinks attached), remove bushings from the bar, grease inside of bushings, reinstall bushings and mounts. I had to do the same thing last year since mine were also sqeaking. Problem solved.

Thanks Greg and what kind of grease did you use?? I know that i heard there was a redesinged bushing but i just can't put my finger on it. I'll keep trying and let you know what i can find out.

You might want to consider putting greasable bushings on your swaybar. Taking them off surely isn't alot of work, but if you have the others, whenever you do a lube job, you can do them at the same time, or more often, if needed. When I replaced ALL my bushings a few months ago, I put those on (put them on the rear swaybar, too). You can get 'em from Summit or some other places, as well. Mine are the E/S poly's - cost about $14 a set.

I think I used the Mobil synthetic grease that I use for my other suspension part grease fittings. Several months ago, I tried finding part numbers for the ES greasable bushings, but they didn't have them listed for my sway bar sizes (34/24mm). :/
