switching rims = vibration

I put new rims on my formula - 16X8 2000 firebird rims, I took the old wheels/tires to walmart and had them mount and balance the bf radial ta's on them (tires had about 5k on them). I now what a good ribration, especially from 60 mph on up. I figure the tires may not have been balanced correctly, my wheel spacers are causing some problem (vette brakes spacers), or, I did not mark the tires and don't know which tire were where on the car so I have no clue about wear pattern and such. I guess I may just have to start with some new tires to be sure the last issue is not the problem ??

my guess would be the tires weren't returned to the same location on the car they came from. i'd drive it a while and see if it improves or stays the same.
