Signs of sticking brake calipers?

OK - so what are the signs of sticking calipers? I replaced all the suspension on my '91 Z about 7 months ago, but didn't do any front brake work cuz everything was good to go. Now, every now and then I hear a popping sound coming from the right front wheel, but never does it unless brakes are being applied. I think it could be the strut, as well, but I doubt it. Also, I can't recall if it occurs while in a turn or not, I know it does it on a straight road stop, tho... Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks...

I had a similar popping sound from me '84 Z28 and it turned out to be the lower ball joint was loose so I just replaced it, no more problems.

Those parts are all new - tie rods, ball joints, etc., but not to say they could've been bad...

I'd imagine that with a sticking caliper, you wouldn't be able to spin the front wheels with the car in the air. Also, your braking would probably be unbalanced side-to-side, which would make your car swerve when you hit the stop pedal... sort of like having an internally-deteriorated front brake hose.
