My '86 Trans-Am once belonged to my brother who disconnected the parking brake for some unknown reason. Anyway, I can't get the car on the road until I get it inspected and it's not gonna' pass until the parking brake functions correctly. All I know is that it is locked up. He wired the lever in the center console so it doesn't move at all, but I have a feeling that is'nt the only problem. I don't even know if it's hooked up at the rear axle. Basically I need some exploded drawings so I can study the assemblies before I go outside and have to climb under the car in the 30 degree weather searching for cables and whatever. I don't want to "wing" it. I like to know what I'm dealing with before I get into it. I have looked in a few different Haynes and Chiltons manuals for '82-'92 Firebirds but the only thing they have on parking brakes is adjustment. If any of you know where I may find such drawings please let me know the internet address or the name of the publication. Thanks... Mike
