best brake upgrade for the $$$

I need some new brakes pronto, so i decided to upgrade the rotors and calipers while i'm at it. Baer's are the accepted megabuck upgrade but i can't afford that much. Anybody try http://www.gtrotors.com/products.html#bigbrake or anything reasonably priced other than stock? I'm just driving on the street now but its always a good idea to get the best you can afford i've found. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!.

1LE is the way to go. The current parts shortage will be corrected sometime in May,2002.

The Baer stuff is way out of my price range anyway. So keep your eyes on this board for 1LE upgrade availability.

the GT Rotors setup is a good way to upgrade. Better all around performance, wet or dry.

I had them on my Formula

I have Baer 12" in the back. One great thing I can say about Baer is that although the cost is a bit up there, when you get your stuff, it is really ready to go. I don't think my hands even got dirty, it was that nice. Emergency brake cables snap in place like factory, I was impressed. My rear setup cost 988.33. The only add on I got was zinc washed rotors (+$60 ea. I think) Eesh, maybe I feel a little sick now....
