subframe connector installation q (mr. spohn inside please)

I have a set of Mr. Spohn's excellent subframe connectors for my firebird. The car does not currently have an engine or transmission. Is it ok to weld in the connectors now? Or should I wait until the driveline is installed?

thanks.

I would wait, the drivetrain is pretty heavy.
If SS says otherwise, then ignore me!

You can, I'm not gonna say it's an absolute no-no. With that said, if given the choice, I would install the drivetrain first, so your car is at it's true suspension loaded ride height before installing.

i welded mine in with out and engine or trans. what i did was parked my sons camaro on a flat spot (my patio) and took some measurements with a angle finder and then put shims under the jackstands holding my car up to replicate the measurements i had on my sons camaro.
