when is it necessary to replace the power brake booster and master cylinder??

I'm doing my brakes tomorrow. I am not sure whats neccessary to restore maximum braking abillities,(not that '84 4WDisk TAs have good brakes to begin with). the rear brakes are new,the fronts may need service,I'm replacing all the rubber hoses.it's probably a good idea to replace the master cylinder, but I'm not sure if I need to replace the vaccume booster. has anyone got their disc brakes to work ok?

i'd change them when they break, not before. if you're looking to restore 100% capacity then it maybe something to look at. i wouldn't worry about it, unless there is a problem. you can get an idea how good they work by the fluid preasure when you bleed the brakes. if you have low preasure look at the master cylinder and blockage in the lines.
